Proyecto Amigo, which means Project Friendship, was established in 1992 by Italian Mario Vidori and Peruvian Nury Garcia. Mario and Nury gathered a group of local teenagers and adults who had knowledge of what it is like to grow up as working children.

Proyecto Amigo – Casa Marcelino was started to help working children and adolescents (NATs)

and to help all minors who suffer under poor and dangerous conditions.
